This full-day, face-to-face practical course is delivered in the classroom by an experienced instructor and is ideal for nursery workers, childminders, nannies, and au pairs. It is also essential for anyone working with infants and children. Under the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), all newly qualified entrants to the early years workforce who completed a Level 2 and/or Level 3 qualification on or after 30 June 2016 must hold either a full Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate or an Emergency PFA certificate within three months of starting work. This is required in order to be counted within the staff-to-child ratios in an early years setting. We are committed to making your learning experience enjoyable, engaging, and confidence-building. Our friendly classroom environment and hands-on approach ensure that you gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively in a first aid emergency. You will leave the course with both your certificate and increased confidence in providing basic first aid care. This course can also be taken as an annual paediatric first aid refresher. Please note: * A minimum of two learners is required for a course to run. * If minimum numbers are not met, an alternative date will be offered. * If you have specific availability or would like to request a different course date, please get in touch. * Weekend courses are available upon request. * Group discounts available
