First aiders play a vital role in maintaining workplace safety. Under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, all employers are required to make suitable arrangements to ensure employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or become ill at work. This includes appointing an appropriate number of trained first aiders and providing suitable first aid training. During this 1-day course, learners will gain the practical skills and knowledge needed to respond confidently to a range of emergency first aid situations, including: Managing an unresponsive casualty CPR and use of an AED Choking Shock Wounds and bleeding Minor injuries This course is designed to provide learners with the confidence and ability to respond effectively in workplace emergencies. Please note: * A minimum of two learners is required for a course to proceed. * If the minimum number is not met, an alternative course date will be offered. * When planning your day, please allow additional time for breaks and lunch, as the advertised course duration refers to the required contact hours with the trainer. Delivered over 1 Day including practical training ensuring the mandatory 6 hours required by the HSE are completed.

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the detailed procedure, appropriate adjustments can be made as long as training objectives can be met. 

The HSE no longer require an independent assessment of Emergency First Aid at Work candidates. Throughout the course you will be continually monitored and assessed and complete a multiple choice question paper

Course Accreditation

This is a certificated attendance course which is valid for 3 years from the date of completion but HSE do recommend an update at least once a year.

A digital certificate will be provided on completion. (FREE Hardcopy if required)
