The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, ideal for those looking to work or volunteer as a first responder. Among the first to arrive at a scene, first responders typically include police officers, firefighters, and those providing medical cover at festivals and events such as Emergency/Community First Responders, Door Supervisors, Close Protection Operatives and Security Guards as well as those working in high risk environments including the military, power stations, agriculture and manufacturing ** This course includes a copy of Ambulance Care Essentials for each student. 2025 Courses Please note that all courses require a minimum of two learners to proceed. Description

Over a 5 day period the learner will gain the knowledge and skills to deal with a range of emergencies such as:

  • Basic life support and AED 
  • Airway and ventilation management
  • Assessment and treatment of trauma 
  • Assessment and treatment of illness 1 (Asthma) 
  • Assessment and treatment of illness 2 (Anaphylaxis) 
  • Major Illness
